What's the back story? Personally issues or did some group of folks want to dump him?

Sadly, I'm not sure if the public can get by the cosmetic fact the he is another TX Governor with the same smirk and swagger.

I would be happy to be wrong on this, but at the end of the day, Romney and Perry both have some issues, but both are likely viable choices to beat Obama.
