"Some Texas Tea Party activists have been especially critical of Perry's Enterprise Fund... "

Conservatives are not against all government spending but they want it to be used to encourage growth not more government dependency. So spending a little bit of money to encourage much larger capital investment is a good thing. Spending money on some misguided program that discourages personal responsibility but makes the people giving the money feel better is a bad thing.
"labeling it a quintessential example of wasteful government spending". Sounds like I'm not the only who has that problem, but since you also understand them better than I maybe ya'll can work that out together.
Seems to me like handing out tax money to anyone with an accountant who can cook the books to show "job creation" is government spending and government dependency with dubious results however you go about it though. However and once again, if you're only here to say, "Democratz dr00lz and Perry rulz even though I voted for Kay" don't waste my time, because as long as either of them wins you, I and the country lose.

When she starts talking about what supporters will do to opponents, that comparison will work.

Separate issue, but talking about what your supporters will do to people isn't very complex code.

Even if it's only a conspiracy of circumstance (increasingly hard to believe), it's real.
