First his entire claim that anyone wants to balance the budget by taxing the poor is to be blunt a lie. Skipping past that again he is still cooking the numbers. What he wants you to assume is that the net worth of the bottom 50% is more than their salary, I mean they are taking half of ever thing the own right? The problem with that little bit of misdirection is that for a majority of the country their net worth is significantly lower than their salary. Think about which number is higher, your annual salary or your net worth? Even people well above the poverty level make a lot more per year that they are worth on paper.

I know what is saying sounds compelling but only is you don't question or think about it. Take his heart string tugging BS about the poverty level, he throw that out like someone besides Ron Paul supporters has suggested raising taxes on the poor. Like a lot of what John Stewart says nothing but sheep fodder.
