I agree....in part. I agree that public education has a responsibility to teach facts about sex. But they do not have the right to superceede a parents wishes about the timing or manner of it.

Note that you, nor the state, have any right to supercede a parent's decisions on teaching their own belief system.

You can teach your beliefs, but if you take advantage of the public education system, your children are going to be taught the reality of the matter as well.

And again, I ask: why do parents deserve such an especially strong level of control when it comes to teaching about sex? Or should children have to bring home permission slips every time the teacher wants to start a new lesson on any topic?
