...I don't think I'm really assuming that much. beetnemesis Send a noteboard - 08/09/2011 06:43:16 PM
One, I wasn't making any judgments. Two, my starting assumption was "A god in more or less the Christian idoim exists, and he is all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-good." I don't think that's particularly unreasonable.

I used the Super Bowl as an example, but really, anything that's not an internal revelation would have worked. But yes, my point was that God knows who wins the Super Bowl- does he change that depending on people's prayers? Presumably the "correct" team is already going to win.

And, so there's no confusion, "Super Bowl" can be substituted with getting/losing a job, someone living or dying, the success of some kind of plan, and much more.
I amuse myself.

The real answer is there is no effect because God is not real. - 08/09/2011 02:23:00 PM 390 Views

Hm, so there's a broad Divine Plan, but it doesn't matter either way who wins the Super Bowl? - 08/09/2011 05:25:23 PM 400 Views
Your argument only works if you get to decide who and what god is, like I said strawman - 08/09/2011 06:32:17 PM 430 Views
