Of course, those same Calvinists would say that if you are destined to turn against God when you grow up you won't die as a child.

Of course, everyone else believes that there is always a choice.


Forget the destiny part, that was just a word I used. Not a good choice in this context, clearly. How about if I said, what if I grow up and I choose to turn away from God?

Although: predestination is such an interesting concept that strict calvinists are not the only ones who consider it in some shape or form. Not in a strict sense, but in a "God has a plan for me" kind of way. We've talked about predestination vs. free will at bible study and we weren't strict calvinists.
