Do you have any actual argument for why public sector workers need union protection whne most of the country does fine wthout it? Why one small group should be able say "give me everything I want or I will shut your city down". Why should citizens be forced to pay for benefits for the protected civil servants that are far in excess of what they receive and then not even be able to fire them without a judge being involved? Simply because someone decided that public sector workers have the right to extortion? Why should we suffer all the ills of public sector unions from bought off politicians negotiating union contracts to workers who cannot be fired out of the child like fear that someone may be treated unfairly? So what? People are treated unfairly all the time and they deal with it. Teachers and other public sectors workers don't need to coddled and protected at the expense of the people who rely on them.

Another method? Charter schools are showing us how affective the free market system is. Socialism may give you the impression of level playing field but it damn sure isn't giving us results.
