Do your friends look confused when you use them?
For example: my family calls frozen mixed vegetables "mixchables" (that's how you say it; not sure of a decent spelling
) and I use that without variation when talking about mixed frozen veg.
Or I call the glands in my throat "glags" because that's what a friend called them when younger and it tickled my fancy.
And my family also refers to television controls almost exclusively as "trolls". But only ever tv controls, never stereo controls.

Garcifell = Garfield
Lug Nut Decree = any Will or Testament
Gollies = Lollies
Pedal Wireless = Any battery-chargeable item
...and so on and so forth.
We have so many we actually have an amusing Family Compendium of Encyclopaedic Wonder making the rounds; this includes a section titled simply, "Stupid Things Paula Has Said and Done" although that dull and boring chapter will be be removed when the tome makes its next rounds to me.
