There's a whole saga in that probably better suited to a journal entry, but hopefully something will give soon now that I've managed to get my education and work history into the national database and it's started emailing me positions for which I might be suited. Now that I have a residence visa I also have "the duty and the right" to 300 hours of free Norwegian language education and my next class starts on the 1st. Apparently I'm not in QUITE as bad a shape there as I thought; they made me take a placement test and were going to put me in the level four course (even though I've only actually taken the level one course) but since they aren't giving that class this fall they stuck me in a level three instead. It starts with chapter 13 of my old textbook and the last course went through chapter 10, so the wife and I have about a week to go over the two chapters they think I've already done. :P

It's a work in progress that will hopefully progress to work soon. *crosses fingers and prays hard*
