A simple survey, really quite easy. We all know about alternate realities; of course we do, everyone does, even puppies and unborn trees know about alternate realities. In a universe where every action ever taken splits reality into an infinite number of branches where anything that could happen does, in some reality, actually happen, well, anything is possible. It's all fair game in alternate realities.
But what about you? What would you be in an alternate reality? Or, as per this survey, what would you be and/or what would you do in each of the following different types of alternate realities, all of which are guaranteed to exist somewhere in the multiverse? If it's too long and complicated for the lazy among us, feel free to skip ones you don't want to answer.
1. The steampunk reality.
Watchmaker/Inventor with an array of minature difference engines used to secretly track rates of production of brass allowing me to corner the market on all things instrumental and ornamental.
2. The reality where no one ever invents the wheel, but every other technology that doesn't depend on wheels still gets invented.
I'd produce the armoured, all-terrain sedan chair.
3. The reality where Hitler won World War II.
Little difference though I'd likely be replying in German right now.
4. The reality where everyone has superpowers.
I'd have the power of innocuousness to stay unperceived by the overstrengthened NWO that would undoubtably form.
5. The reality where every day is a musical.
I'd be the slightly astray baritone with an unusual leitmotif who was ultimately the most important person in the whole damn show.
6. The reality where every inorganic item is made of chocolate.
Death by chocolate apocalypse.
7. The reality where everyone is a lobster.
I'd be a lobster.
8. The reality where everyone is immortal.
Depend on the immortality, if I was the invulnerable, immune to all basic human concerns type it would certainly be more fun, otherwise i think the world would turn into an over-populated, desolate, resource-deprived wasteland.
9. The realiy where no one can talk.
The presidential inauguration by way of interpretative dance would certainly be interesting.
10. The zombie apocalypse reality.
Fortify current location and kick out anybody who'd look like a liability. Then hope I've enough on site resources to stave off the first three weeks before wandering off to find more supplies, survivors etc.
11. The reality where everyone has the ability to change anything about themselves at will.
Change my damn feet.
12. The realiy where all mythological creatures are real.
I like your gryphon-tamer idea.
13. The alien invasion reality.
Find out what they want first and try to sell it to them. If that doesn't work, nuke the xenomorphic buggers.
14. The reality where the ground is lava.
Keep off the floor!
15. The reality where you (and only you) can alter reality with your mind.
I'd alter it in such a way that others could also alter it. A level playing field is a more interesting start on the quest to world domination.
