I can see the point of ambition, of course, people striving to better their lives and be all that they can be, et cetera. However, I'm just not an ambitious person. On the whole, what I want from life is not the best paying job or acknowledgement of distinction or anything like that. What I want is to be comfortable and happy. As long as I can have that, I don't need distinction or promotion or ambition.
I want to do well at the things I do, but in general I don't push myself to be exceptional.
