There's pretty much nothing in that response that merits a civil reply. I can see how some people initially had a negative reaction to the post, but no one pressed on with that after I provided context, they presumably either thought "Oh, that makes sense" or at least "That could be, I will give him the benefit of the doubt", that you chose not to just means to me you want it to be true, so there's no point in discussing this.
