There is a reason we are seeing so much complaining about politics form certain people random thoughts Send a noteboard - 28/11/2011 05:44:22 PM
There has always been a lot of politics on the board but it used to lean heavy left. I have been coming here off and on since the late 90s and politics have always been here and it has always been opinionated. The same people we see cry about tone have posted articles about how much the hate the other side they just cry when the post go the other way. It worse for them now that a lot of the more left leaning posters do most of their political debating on facebook where they can filter out people who don't think like them. Those that are left find political discussions less fun since they are more likely to be challenged by what they say than to have someone pat them on the back for being so damn smart. Used to be you could post about how stupid this or that republican was and only me and one or two more would point out that your arguments were hypocritical and based on strawman logic. Now you will get as many challenges as you will pats on the head for being witty and funny.

Look at the people responding to the post about how much they hate the politics. Almost all of them have had no problem with political attacks in the past it just now that doesn't always go their way that they object. Sorry if makes me bad person but I really don't have a lot sympathy.

I remain unconvinced a few voices can drown out the rest in an internet environment. - 25/11/2011 12:41:05 AM 877 Views

Probably the easiest solution is to have a filter instead, save the new board for a "Writers Board" - 24/11/2011 06:47:33 AM 746 Views
