having some supernatural creatures in Scooby Doo teaches kids that not everyone plays by the rules of the verse, sure the ghost is Old Man Jenkins, with a fairly justifiable reason for scaring people, 9/10 of the time but there's that 1/10 of the time where the bad guy dosen't play by the Scooby verse's rules i.e the guy from the Witches' ghost film.

its just another truth for people to know, not everyone plays by the rules.
