Which makes sense if you think about it, given that turkeys are native to North America. Goose is the number two choice, and duck also works. Do you and Dave's folks like either of those?

Or you could go Kiwi and have colonial goose, which is hogget (young sheep, slightly older than lamb). When the first settlers arrived, they didn't have any geese (which at that time was the no. 1 choice) so they pretended :D.

(I keep asking for goose at Christmas, but somebody keeps vetoing it...)
