The thought keeps sticking with me - I really want a dog. I have had them my whole life, in some way or another (at home while I was at college, roommate owned some after school, etc).

It occurred to me that I don't know what kind of pets any of YOU have, other than a few exceptions.

Who has what?

I have a rat, two rabbits, and a horse (elsewhere, of course, not in my house)

Is that your favorite type of pet?

No, my favorite type of pets have been cats and dogs. I do enjoy my rat and rabbits, though, and they're fun in their own way :)

Did you adopt a stray/shelter pet? Or buy from a breeder?
My two rabbits were adopted from other people. One because he was scared of dogs, the other from a military family who wasn't managing her appropriately. The rat I got for 4 bucks at the fish store :P

What is your pet's name?
My rabbits are Yoshi and Peach. The rat is Bowser. (Sense a theme?)

Is it a good pet?

The rabbits can be frustrating at times. They're wooly-haired breeds and I don't have near the time to brush them. Particularly since, Peach at least, doesn't like being handled. But they're hysterical to watch some times. Bowser is a lot of fun. He's a very well behaved rat and he'll just hang out in my sweatshirt while I'm studying.

This is going to be a horrible question, but: would you make a different decision now?

Regarding the rabbits, maybe. I think I would have adopted Peach because of her hair coat. god there's hair EVERYWHERE X-D now. And neither of them are very snuggly. But I don't think I'd get rid of them for a "better bunny" either.
