But if you want balanced media coverage of politics, then I suggest watching C-SPAN. In particular, the show, Washington Journal. It's on very early in the morning, but you can tape it or watch on its website probably. In my opinion, the show has only one major flaw: it takes viewer calls. Those callers are almost always biased and ask weighted questions, when they're not just pontificating. Otherwise, the tone and atmospshere of the show allow the guests to say what they know/believe without the feeling that they need to score political points.

Also, C-SPAN in general is balanced. However, they do tend to show one "side" at a time, rather then have two or more opposing views discussed in the same program. That may turn some people off, but I find that it tends to give me far more and better, real information than any "debate" show.
