Either way they're still in Hell.
Baptism isn't a free pass to Heaven; that takes a lifetime of positive morality and belief in whichever higher power you believe in. You can be a morally upstanding atheist, but if you don't believe that God in some form exists, you don't love Him, and that's the other part that's asked of us. So for all you atheists out there who think, "Well I'm a good person, so if God does exist I'm in the clear right?" Nope, welcome to eternal damnation.
And since they're dead they won't know they've been baptized anyway.

I can't think of any reason for an atheist to be annoyed by that.

Well, for starters, it's really effing rude.

It is an act of love.

There are 3 critical distinctions: 1) Ability to sin, 2) Awareness of sin and 3) Appreciation of sin

It is not an act of love to defy the beliefs of a loved one.

Rape? That is ridiculous.

It's a bit of hyperbole, but not too far from it, imo

"Spiritual rape" might be going a bit far, but otherwise that sounds about right.

What I am doing is using the terms as they were universally used until about the time I was born.
