I had no idea what "Checkers" was.

Additionally, some places have different names in different areas. Hardee's in Kansas is Carl's Jr in Arizona.

I don't think Jack in the Box is regional. I've seen it in the East, West and Midwest. I think it's just limited to larger cities and metropolitan areas, so you don't see it in areas without a lot of population. I could certainly be wrong, though! I'm just pretty sure I've seen it in multiple regions.
