can *any* republican pose a challenge to obama in november? moondog Send a noteboard - 14/03/2012 04:06:59 AM
forget for a minute whether or not you prefer one candidate over another, or their electability to the general population. i am wondering if any of the candidates can put together an organization which can pose a threat to obama's re-election. gingrich and santorum could not even get on the ballot in at least two states each. romney apparently did not have anyone working for him in ohio, he basically spent a ton of money getting ads on tv instead of actually campaigning like a real candidate.

all of this speaks to me that none of the current candidates has the organizational skills to put up a sustained, national election campaign against a president who is not as popular as he was the first time, but who definitely has the organization to put people on the ground in all 50 states.

It can definitely work.....don't compare 2012 to 2004. - 14/03/2012 02:44:39 PM 679 Views
this is why it will be 2004 all over again if romney is nominated - 16/03/2012 02:22:26 PM 726 Views
It sure as Hell is, as long as the candidate is moderate - 14/03/2012 03:04:10 PM 928 Views

The statement "anyone but Obama" can be a rallying cry, but only for the right candidates. - 16/03/2012 01:47:48 AM 834 Views
somehow i don't see romney having much credibility versus obama - 16/03/2012 02:16:32 PM 725 Views
