It's summer time, I don't think midnight without school to worry about is a big deal

And I used to see films, many R-rated, late night with my mom or grandpa all the time. The only fallout that ever resulted came when we saw The Day of the Triffids and I gleefully butchered my grandpas orchids with a stick and 5-year old exuberance the next day. I'm not saying people shouldn't hesitate to take young kids to R or Pg-13 films but it's their call and some of my most pleasant childhood memories were going to see the local college's late night SF cult classic matinees with my mom. If the kid behaves well and doesn't make a ruckus, it's not our concern.
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.

If you were in the Aurora theater with your infant, would you leave them him and run to safety?

If I were in the theatre I would rather die than expose my child to harm.

Yes, people are programmed to survive but they are also programmed to protect their young.

I was using shoving as in "putting somewhere" no actually pushing down.

I'm not blaming them for getting shot, just being so rude and thoughtless to begin with.
