Then, if you're still interested (and if you aren't, we can't be friends anymore), check out the recording of the JPL flight team as they nervously track Curiosity's arrival. You can watch as much as you want, but I'd recommend 20:00 - 35:00, which will let you listen in on the team from final approach through receipt of both pictures. Here you are.

Even if you don't care about space, you really should watch these videos. This is a pretty historic event that won't soon be forgotten, especially if we make any surprising discoveries.
