"No one has been negatively affected by his execution" is an odd way to justify one. And one that is hard to proof for that matter. Either way, more important is the question if any of the victims families feel better since McVeigh got killed. Doubtful. But even if that's the case, it's not a country's job to take revenge on anyone. It's an outdated and wrong concept. Punishment is about keeping the culprit from doing the same again and taking his freedom, that's it. That's what Norway does now and therefore keeps the higher ground.

But people arguing pro and contra capital punishment will always go around in circles. They have two entirely different mindsets and none will ever convince the other.
