It has little to do with educating yourself.

If you truly spent enough time to educate yourself on all the issues then you might as well be a god damn politician yourself. You'd have little time to live your life. The arrogance that runs through this country is obscene in this sense. Further, everyone wants to pick a candidate who will do what they (the voter) wants them to do. This is very incorrect. You can not nor should not be educated in every little thing. If that is a case, then we should be a full on 100% without a doubt democracy and everyone votes for everything. That won't happen for so many reasons. You should be voting based on peoples decision making abilities. Sadly, the media, people like you, and the politicians themselves have made it so hard to achieve this that it is laughable to think it is possible. When we as Americans become a tad bit more humble and take our oversized heads out of our tenders anus, then we might achieve something. Don't expect it anytime soon, though.
