It was the sentencing phase he skipped out on. But I do guess they will have to try on the fleeing justice crime but that should be pretty cut and dry.

He gave a 13 year old girl alcohol and Quaaludes then he raped her. He shouldn’t be forgiven simply because he fled to France for 30 years to avoid paying for his crime.


I'm not claiming he should be "forgiven". But the girl/teenager with whom he had sex has forgiven him. And if she has forgiven him, then it is a waste of time and money to have him brought to the US to serve in a jail. The purpose of jail is to punish, to rehabilitate, and to ensure that someone dangerous be kept from society. He seems rehabilitated. He does not seem to be a danger to society. I hope Switzerland chooses to not extradite him.


If you murder me with my consent, it's still murder, and you still go to jail. Why is this any different?
