How long did it take for you to vote? Roland00 Send a noteboard - 07/11/2012 03:33:34 PM
(I also voted in Texas.)

I voted on election day. 30 days ago I changed my address (still within the deadline to change the address) but my new precinct did not have my record on file (the precinct judge did a phone call and quickly found out they still had records with my old precinct.) She was slightly stressed and extremely nice, yet there were no lines at this precinct and they had open polling stations at my "new precinct."

At my "old precinct" I actually voted and once again no lines, refilled the change of address form and voted. Took less than 15 minutes total to vote.

So in both situations I could have voted in less than 15 minutes. It took actually a longer time to drive to my old precinct then it did to actually vote.

So that's what it's like to vote in a non-swing state. - 07/11/2012 02:34:39 PM 641 Views
