Is that a touch of hurt pride about British tennis that I detect?

Nah, just amused as ever by Joel's vague facts of the world, delivered as if by an expert. The bonus is you seemed to be joining in.
Murray is British, it really is that simple - the whole argument makes as much sense to me as suggesting Eddy Merckx isn't properly Belgian, since some Belgians want to break up Belgium and some Belgians are just trying to claim him as they're desperate.
Or not? I'm confused.
England, Scotland, Wales and NI are different nations that all have some autonomy but they are the one country. The PM in 10 Downing Street and the Queen are the head honchos for the whole amalgamation.
"I mean, if everyone had a soul, there would be no contrast by which we could appreciate it. For giving us this perspective, we thank you." - Nate
So, I found this video explaining the differences between The UK, Great Britain, England, etc.

Mostly that's an indication of just how desperate they were before that happened.

True, but it always felt very awkward to me, even when I considered mens tennis worth watching.
