But that is different from suggesting he's not British

What, are you saying those poor Falklanders aren't British?

That was why I picked him - I figured he was probably someone no one would accuse him of not being Belgian.
Thank you very much for putting this song into my head again.

I don't think independence is that likely - last I saw around 30% were for it. Though a Tory government in power in Westminster always makes a strong case for it

I don't think so either. For all the talk about separatist movements in Europe, I don't really think it's going to happen in either Catalonia, Flanders or Scotland. There's just no sense of urgency to it, and the regions in question have too much to lose and too little to gain.
So, I found this video explaining the differences between The UK, Great Britain, England, etc.

Great Britain is an island containing England, Scotland and Wales.

Is that why Andy Murray is getting credit for being British? *NM*

Mostly that's an indication of just how desperate they were before that happened.

Kind of, but not precisely. It's probably the easiest way to look at it, though. *NM*

True, but it always felt very awkward to me, even when I considered mens tennis worth watching.

Not all Scots dislike being called British. Only the Nationalist ones.
