The Private Sector has proven time and time again to be money driven and uninclined to care about the statuses of their workers, their customers and even their products (all this where it does not affect their profits). I'm totally not saying government programs are immune to this, I'm just saying the private sector is hardly that wonderful either.
In regards to the health insurance industry, it's a service that is just as important to people's health as doctors, EMTs, firemen and policemen. Am I comfortable letting the private sector just have at and remove regulating hands?
