have you decided how you will kill them yet? I would suggest wringng their necks. It seems more violent but it is quick and less bloddy. That and you can't cut your thumb off. I havn't done it since I was kid but the first few times it was a little hard to kill something that defensless.


I have had to cull 2 sick hens, (egg bound with peritonitis) we didn't eat them.

For meat birds, I will do the throat, then pith. I know a farmer down the road who does them this way, she will let me help so I can learn.
