My wife wants to put a pool in and the digging equipment needs to come straight through where the vegetable garden is. I will probably move the tomatoes and peppers to containers but everything thing else will have to go.

Even then two of my tomatoes plants have blight and will need to be trashed. Not looking to be a good year for the garden.
i'm sorry to hear that. we had a pool a long time ago and it's not worth the work IMHO. i think you'll find that your water bill will be less with a garden taking up that space, and your kids can eat what you grow. i hope you don't have kids that can eat a swimming pool
