You shouldn't listen to propaganda from PETA and the Arachnid Lobby. They just try to whitewash everything and skew your perception. Spiders enter people's home without permission, hunt on their property without permission or license from the government, and notoriously fail to comply with clear verbal warnings to leave the premise, thus use of lethal force, while regrettable, is justified.

Now, yes, it is true that there is no evidence to indicate the Governor issued verbal warning to the spider before crushing it, and no indication that imminent danger justified striking without such a warning, yet the presence of many young children could be seen as having escalated the urgency to react rapidly to the perceived intruder. I believe the Governor acted in a reasonable fashion to protect those children from an intruder.

The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.
