The 8/track player was still barely in use during my childhood. My mom had one in an old T bird we had. The record player was a staple of my elementary school days. The cassette player then hit it big, and then obviously CDs. Now MP3 players are replacing CDs. The crazy thing is, I'm only 40. It was just a crazy thought I had while shuffling iPod to see what my top 25 is lately.
