It's a bit too long to post here (or at least too long for the formatting to be comfortable enough to read), but this rebuttal defending the need for the humanities to be co-equal with STEM in education voices a lot of concerns and opinions similar to those that I've had for years. Thought it might be of some interest to some here, regardless of your personal opinion on the issue.

Something of an issue here is that's its debatable if Pinker is a scientist
