The Samsung Galaxy 8 offers significantly more screen space, but it's expensive and imperfect. I'm definitely returning the Nexus, it's already in the box. I think I'll just wait until something definitely great comes out. Like the equivalent of Nexus 7 except in 8 inch screen.
Buying a tablet - please chime in (from iPad to Nexus 7 to ?)

Oh. That's no good. The "night" setting might just be the app I'm using, but others might have it. *NM*

As I understand it, the Kindle Fire is a normal tablet - no Kindle-like eyestrain-less screen

The Nexus 7 is definitely the best bang for the buck. Maybe try to fix the problems you're having?

I've had the Nexus 7 for a while, and find it difficult to fault.

I've had it on standby with minimal use for 1 days, and the battery is 1/2 gone.
