I see nothing in the video to indicate he needed CPR. If he did and it was neglected then you would be correct but you need to support that. You are also right that I am being uncompassionate in my evaluation, that is the only way to stay rational in a situation like this. Feeling it was wrong and shouldn't have happened is not relevant. This a tragedy for everyone involved and I do feel for that man's family I just don't have your hatred for cops so I don't think sending a man to prison for making a mistake in very difficult job is the right thing to do.

The choke hold is not allowed and that is why he should be fired but he was not suffocating him, he was chocking him which is a violation of police policy but not the law. When you fight being arrested it doesn't matter why they are arresting you they have the right to use force and they are trained to quickly with overwhelming force. If you are injured during that struggle the primary blame lays with you.

Most the reaction I see to this video is squeamish over reaction to the level of violence police deal with everyday. He is big man so if you are going to use force you need to bring him down hard and fast and completely immobilize and dominate him. If you don't want that don't fight the police.
