But instead of looking at absolutes as he was, you're trying to make things proportional based purely on the race of someone's birth instead of their actions.

X percent of black people are arrested. A roughly equal percentage of people killed by police are black.

Y percent of white people are arrested. A roughly equal percentage of people killed by police are white.

It seems to me you think that blacks should only be responsible for a share of crime that equals their percentage of the population. And thus equals their interactions with police. Well, that would be nice, but it isn't reality. Black people commit far more than 13 - 14% of total crime and thus are more likely to come in contact with police and are thus more likely be killed as relates to their share of overall percentage of the population.
