I'm not sure what you're basing that on - as far as I'm aware there are very few candidates whose path is clearer. If any. Partially because he's less moderate than Bush, Christie and arguably Kasich, but more so than Cruz, and ahead of Trump and Carson by virtue of not being insane.

View original postafter them, it's a long rightward march to the rest of the field. cruz, huckabee, fiorina, carson, and jeb! are all trying to out-conservative each other because that's what gets them headlines. the biggest problem is that cruz actually seems to believe what he says. the rest are just looking to cash in on their "fame" when it's all over.
That hardly applies to Bush. Not that I really expect him to get anywhere at this point, but out of all Republican candidates, he seems about the least likely of them all to be in it for the fame. Except maybe Graham, who deserves a lot more attention than he gets.
