For years the left has been complaining about the gun lobby and its excessive and undue influence. Who else would you talk about as the last resort in defending the 2nd Amendment if the voters are helpless? According to Democrats, the NRA overrides the will of the people all the time with their lobbying tactics, so why is the notion so outrageous that they could step in when there is nothing the general public, whom Trump was addressing, could do?
