But seriously, come on. Comey wasn't trying to influence the election, new information was discovered, reported (as it should have been), and found to not be influential, so the case was closed.
He wasn't trying to influence jack, he was doing his job. If you want to blame anyone for trying to use his statements to influence the election, blame the media.
