so I may just be a little over the top, but I would be very surprised if this didn't happen (either in this instance, or in many, many others). The lion's share of political power is knowledge. It wouldn't put it past me to think that any politician who is recently not in office, would miss that power/knowledge, and would take measures to at least be "in the know."
