I can definitely see your point on filibusters - but ironically, given the extreme polarization and the risk of having all sorts of things just changing constantly back and forth as the balance of power in the Senate and House shifts from one party to the other and back, requiring higher thresholds on important decisions, possibly including SC nominations, does seem like a good idea so as to ensure there's at least a token attempt to reach bipartisan agreement.
