If you define chemical weapon as a combat weapon and not something you would do to people trapped in a room then Hitler never used chemical weapons and the reality is I have never heard of the gassing of innocent helpless people in a room as chemical attack. That is typically a term used in combat situations.


I didn't realize there was a technicality under which gassing thousands of people wouldn't be considered a chemical weapon, or that it would have been a fine point for Spicer to make if he'd added the "in combat" bit, or that people didn't know the "in combat" bit wouldn't have been true (as well as stupid to say) either.
