Agreed. From what I know of the industry over here, they will usually only meet the lowest standard... and attempts to film in average intensive poultry farms wre refused while they claimed the chickens were well looked after.
Most industries will usually only strive to meet the lowest standard. That's why standards are typically set at acceptable levels (gasp i know. Why would the regulators do such a thing as demand acceptable levels.)
PS, veggie-eaters, your precious humane food wasn't farmed in less than lowest standard either. Even your organic companies are only going to strive to meet the lowest standards for organic after that. If doing more than that cuts into their profits, they aren't going to do it.
