Did the Vikings have to score at the end? No of course not. Do I really care though? No. It's pro sports, the offense gets paid to score and the defense gets paid to stop the other team's offense. The Cowboys failed and played a crap game.

I actually feel a lot worse for Wade Phillips, who may lose his job now, than for Romo or any of the players. It's too late to see Bum win the Big One, but Wade still could, just not with a 1-4 playoff record (though he does at least have a WINNING record, which Norv Turner can't claim at the professional or amateur level. ) It's funny how some people feel it would have been so unfair to Vikings fans to show them a measly 24 point win in their last home game, but it's totally OK for Cowboys fans to watch their team have further ignominy poured on their humiliation.

Again, I like both teams, which is more than I can say for pretty much anyone left (actually, I can take or leave the Saints, who were Bum and Earl Campbells last stops) but that just means I'm disappointed in Minnesota and Favre and for my fellow Cowboys fans. It's too bad that the way the seeding worked out it was almost inevitable this would be the matchup unless Dallas or Minnesota lost. I'd have much rather watched either of them stomp the hell out of Green Bay.
