The former, in the first case, but in the other... toughie. On the one hand God has a much farther reach than the law, but on the other He's got a lot more mercy, too. Ultimately, if I had to pick I think you're more likely to get away with the latter, unless you can just leave the empty plate in Barts lap knowing they'll believe the sweet ministers daughter instead of yellow trash.
