1. Do you like musicals? Why (not)?

Yes. Because I like music and I like theate and musicals--good ones, at least--do a good job of combining them. In short, they're deeper than movies and more entertaining than plays. Also more powerful--there's something intrinsically moving in music that plays and movies just can't get.

2. Do you like opera? Why (not)?

I don't know anything about opera. That's why I made this survey.

3. What's your favorite musical?

Favorite as in "highest quality" is Les Misérables. Favorite as in "most fun to watch" is 1776.

4. What elevates it above the rest?

Les Mis manages to combine history with fantastic character development and stunning emotion.

5. What's your favorite opera?

I know of maybe three operas (operae? how does one pluralize a plural?) off of the top of my head. Am ignorant.

BONUS POINTS: Do you or have you ever teared up while watching Les Misérables? If not, how does it feel to lack a soul?
