I know it's going to be a wide range because it's a rather nebulous field, and your best bet would be to obtain ranges for each of the types of job they say this prepares you for and assess your situation/expected path based on where it's likely you'll end up. I don't need you to tell me what they are, I just need to know that you aren't basing your salary expectation on this non-statement

I would also make sure you take advantage of your school's career placement/advice center from the beginning so that if there's a particular area within MIS you know you want to go (type of company, type of role you're looking for, etc.) they can be helping you choose your elective coursework appropriately with your end goal(s) in mind.
