It turned out that although it was made for World War One, the war ended before they could ship the order, so the Army was all like "Oops. We don't need the guns now, and no we're not gonna pay for them. Who's gonna make us? We're the largest, non-war-torn army in the world right now!" So as it happened, the first ever order of the infamous Tommy Gun, was purchased by the US Postal Service!
