I know, it sounds harsh... but come on now. I think everyone reaches that "MMORPGs are a waste of life" point eventually. Unfortunately, it's like The Matrix, where no one can be TOLD...

This may not be the best policy, but things must be pretty awful on their forums for this to appear necessary. It will remove some of the anonymity that the majority of users enjoy/exploit.

Honestly though, I normally freak at this sort of thing. Call me heartless, especially with my WoW detachment, but I know of people who already use real names for this... and they aren't really worried. If someone's going to do it, they're going to do it. The biggest issue I see is that some might use it to cross-reference web profiles. Most won't bother, and the few who insist are likely only a handful more than were doing it in the first place.
